Yes, I got the joke, but this vehicle's specification looks far too luxurious to be Scottish! :D

Anyway, yes it is English.

This is the 4WD safari vehicle designed by Peter Stevens student of the Royal College of Art. It ought to be used in underveloped countries.

More pics of this "off-the-road basic vehicle":
(it seems to be from 1970 and was supposed to be equipped with a 1500cc VW-engine, but I doubt it ever got one)

Just a scale model - 1/5 maybe, but shot in a perfect setting - a good illusion.

Well done Allemano, you are almost there!  This thing has a name though, so locked to you until your next reply to tell me what it is.

BTW, the car is earlier than 1970, in that it was first shown in 1967, which may help your extra research.

Yes, meanwhile I've read most of the text.. The idea for this study was born app. ~1965..
As far as I understand Peter Stevens called it simply "The Nomad".

You got it, as Nomad was the name I was looking for.  You are right that Stevens began the projest in the mid-1960s, with the full-size car appearing in 1967.  Sadly it no longer exists as it was destroyed in the 1970s.  A well-deserved point is now yours.
