There seems to be a certain need in omnibus puzzles this weekend. ;)
Please respond below if you know the make and model designation of this bus and who built it.
One point for the right and complete answer!
If you haven't register (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?action=regcenter;sa=register)ed yet, you'll need to do so in order to reply and to post your own puzzles

Ah, the so-called Riesenomnibus, named after a well-known Freudian slip!!!
-
Can you explain? ???

Ah, the so-called Riesenomnibus, named after a well-known Freudian slip!!!
I do not get it, too.
Could be an Ludewig "Aero" Anderthalbdecker, but do not ask me what´s under the body shell...

Of course I ask you what's under the shell! :D Locked for you till your next reply!

There were some Ludewig busses with Krupp Südwerke chassis, but they had a longer front end.
So my next guess is Büssing.
Here in Aachen one of the very few surviving "Anderthalbdecker"-type buses ("one and a half decks") has been under restauration since 2008 and it is still a monstrous project.
The website shows every step of the frame-off restauration and interesting details of bus technology of that period:

I´ll keep digging...

With these keywords you'll get the point in the blink of an eye...
Still locked for grobmotorix!

O.K. so it seems to be an "Anderthalbdecker"-type "Aero" bus by Ludewig, built on a Krupp-Südwerke SWO 480 FK chassis in 1953.

That's it!

Here's a postcard you can buy at the museum shop of ZOLLVEREIN in Essen showing the same bus crossing the river Ruhr at Kettwig. (today Essen Kettwig)

I didn´t know that the wide modern bridge is that old - the view today wouldn´t be much different (wish we had street-view over here already...).
I´ve been there several times when visting the Baldeneysee.

Exactly that's the view point!
