SOLVED! Guess what! #31 - (Saehan) Camina
« on: January 11, 2010, 05:13:41 PM »
Time to give away some points. You know the drill - tell me the name of the car pictured below and you'll be awarded a point    :)

There's too much rookie puzzles currently imo, so this one goes straight to the experts.
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

It looks like a six cylinder Holden Torana with a different grille.  Knowing that South African customers like bigger engines than Vauxhall would supply, I'd guess they wanted the long nose torana.  Then it would likely be called a Ranger.

However then I noticed the left hand drive, so it might be Korean.  Found it,

It's the Chevrolet 1700 made by Daewoo predecessor Saehan Motors.

Almost there, but it's not a Chevrolet 1700.

There was another model called Camina.  Is it Saehan Camina?

Yes, it's a Camina. Actually I think it was sold without Saehan/Chevrolet badging, Camina being the whole name.

The point is yours, hugo90 :)
