Who is this promising young man, and what car can he be associated with?

Art and cars. Painters, writers, musicians, actors, movie makers: in a nutshell, artists. Cars of special importance in their work, or in their life.
(in his work, as far as this puzzle is concerned)
A 3 point puzzle: 1 for the man, 2 for the car, as it won't be easy.
Rule is: you identify the artist, you have one week to find the car. After that, the hunt is opened and anyone can rob you of your other points.
Thanks!

Thing is I recognized the guy. I don't want to give away the game, until I am not 100 per cent sure about the car. Is it the Tucker what you are after?

Yes sir. Locked  for you 48 hours, but remember, after that, if somebody else ID's the man, he gets the point.

Well done. But for 3 points, I expect you to explain us, with a luxury of details, what connects Dick and the Tucker

Time Out of Joint is a novel by Philip K. Dick, first published in novel form in the United States in 1959.
As the novel opens, its protagonist Ragle Gumm believes that he lives in the year 1959 in a quiet American suburb. His unusual profession consists of repeatedly winning the cash prize in a local newspaper competition called, "Where will the little green man be next?". Gumm's 1959 has some differences from ours: the Tucker car is in production, and Uncle Tom's Cabin was recently written.

... and, if I remember well, Marylin Monroe never became a big star.
In the tiny difference with the late fifties as we know them lays, of course, the whole mystery of the story.
