1 point for the Puzzler who can correctly identify this car:

Looks similar to the Tojeiro 1100 commissioned by Major Hopf in 1957 but there are several differences.

Carnut

Nothing to do with Tojeiro.

As I thought but is it American?

Is it a replica? Or the real thing?

Carnut

It's not the real thing - just a loose interpretation of it.

Ricchiardi?

Crikey - I don't recognise that one!
It's not it anyway!

Small error - I meant Ricciardi!
It's not that though - that has already been solved.

Is the car European?

European-inspired but not European-built, no.

You've got the car!
Strictly speaking it's not actually meant to be a replica, but is of course inspired by the Maserati 450S.  The dimensions are slightly different to fit the donor car and provide more modern handling.

The hand-built GRP body sits on a Porsche 928 engine complete with Porsche 4.5 litre V8.

This car is available for hire!  Normally half an hour is what people take it for, but they can have an hour if they wish.

So if  you're visiting the West Coast of New Zealand and fancy a sprint around some deserted roads pretending you're on the Mille Miglia this is your chance!

It's not a bad reproduction at all.

Yes.  Only the wheels spoil the illusion, as they so often do on reproductions.
I would spend just that bit more and get them a bit more accurate (though I know Borranis don't come cheap!)
