Let's try once more: Driver No2: Ann Sheridan, Movie No19: Indianapolis Speedway which was made in 1939 not 1949 as I previously stated

Driver 15: Richard Conte, Movie No6: Race For Life also known as Mask of Dust, 1954

And another...
Race for life  is a shorter version (69 minutes). Mask of dust is the "director's cut", short enough at 79 minutes.

Right film, wrong driver and picture (I guess that you meant N°3 and not N°2: Ann Sheridan is a girl. N°2 is a man, but in a period film.)

Could it be that you are looking for Jack Mullaney to pair up with the movie Speedway (Film No4 - which as we know is Spinout, but has been incorrectly identified here and there)?
If so then I've got no idea which picture it is, but first, I am cruious to know whether I am right or wrong

And Indianapolis Speedway (Movie No19) should be paired up with Driver14, Pat O'Brien

I know Driver16 and Movie18 are a pair. Movie18 is Pit Stop, 1969. I found the same exact picture but I don't know which actor it depicts - either Richard Davalos or George Washburn. I can't decide :(

Ray there's a mistake in identification: Johnny Sands is Driver No7, not Driver No 11, please revise the list of solved movies/entries accordingly

You're right about the two pictures, film and link. You just have to decide wich actor it is. No random guess please. A quick image search should to the trick. Locked for you 48 hours.

No, yesterday will have a profound effect on me for the next year or so. More on that a bit later. Anyhow, I am intending to solve as much of this puzzle as possible as soon as possible :)

Move No11 is most probably The Last American Hero from 1973, but I have absolutely no idea who the driver should be. Am I right with the movie though?

I have hit a wall, and can't find the remaining five movies. Can No11 be the Corky from 1972?

In the end I think you'll find them the same way I did... because many of them were unknown to me when I started. As said in the first post, they're not among the best.

Film #7 is Speed Devils (also known as Thru Traffic). Could Driver #5 be Paul Kelly?
