...........and the girl on the right is sporting a real "beehive" hairstyle!

It is the Colliday, a microcar designed by Bob Collier.

Quiller

It is indeed!
Incidentally, Mr Collier also made a bizarre microcar with five wheels, three in front and two at the back. Only one of the front wheels (the centre one) actually touched the ground; the outer pair were there to make the car look like a four-wheeler!

The pic doesn't explain that strange five wheel concept as the front wheels are invisible..  ???

Quiller

I can't find my original Colliday pics I'm afraid - will have to spend time going through my files...

Very entertaining, but did you see five wheels?

Otto Puzzell

Yes. In the early frames, I saw tiny little wheels peeking out.

Maybe they're there to stop it from falling over?  You know, like stabilisers on a kid's first bike?

Did you see the Top Gear episode with Clarkson driving a Reliant Robin?  Très funny!

No but there was an item in my local newspaper yesterday about some guy with a Reliant Robin who's getting increasingly cross because the kids push it over as they walk past it (a la Clarkson apparently!)
