Never seen this, but I'll get the ball rolling.  It's shouting Standard Motors at me.  The side window at the back (Companion), the Atlas-like bulge going the length of the vehicle at floor level...Perhaps the factory tried inflating 10s and tweaking their look to make an Ensign / Vanguard prototype ahead of producing the (completely different and still lovely) Phase III Vanguard?

Sorry for the disapointment: no Vanguard connection.

Ferguson 4 wheel drive prototype - tested by some of the mags in the very early 60's at the same time as Ferguson made the grand Prix car and put their system into the Jensen CV8

It does indeed look like the Ferguson R4, but I've never seen an estate car version of that, so who can say?

Yes sir !
Now, as "make and model" is requested, what kind of Jowett, as it is an unusual one ?

Congratulations. I'm not much of a specialist of british cars, but this didn't seem easy.
I think jotage21 also deserves a point for finding it was a Jowett, which wasn't obvious either.

Too right it wasn't - I'd completely forgotten about these CD prototypes which were a casualty of Jowett's body builder, Briggs, being taken over by Ford.
