You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

Paul Jaray

Hi, that is the Ze-Ze Town Car, powered by a 500cc air cooled engine. It has 2-seats and it can turn in its own lenght. Its body is in glass fibre and it opens at the front.

Quiller

Hi I've seen this one described as the Tse Tse (Mosquito) by coachbuilder Sibona & Bassano. Has a curious forward-hinging screen/roof to get in.

Paul Jaray

I found in an old magazine from 1965 that Sibona & Basano presented a study for a city-car with 2 seats, small dimensions, good handing, low-price, there are two drawings of the car, and the front-one seems exactly this one! In this magazine there is no name for this project but I think you might be right. May I ask you where you found the Tse-Tse? Are you from Italy?

Quiller

Hi there, no I'm actually from the UK but I speak Italian. I have a cutting somewhere with the car pictured; it was at the Turin Show in Nov 1964

And your'e correct about the Sibona & Basano spelling (one 's')

Paul Jaray

Thank you, I'll see my Quattroruote edition of that salon..I think that's the car!

I found a pic...it's exactly the same car...the writing on the front of the car partially covered by that man is in fact "Tse Tse" and the one below the windshield is...."SI PREGA DI NON TOCCARE" (Please do not touch)!
I think this point is yours, this is a Sibona & Basano Tse Tse from 1964, as you wrote.

Anyone with another pic of the Tsé-Tsé?

Quiller

Somewhere I do, yes... Give me a few days!
