I think this one was called the American Motors Concept 80 Concept II, one of six concepts promoted under the Concept 80 banner.

That's right.
Believe they were toying with ideas for the Pacer.

A Pacer re-work perhaps. The Concept 80 cars were displayed in 1977, while the Pacer went on sale in early 1975.

From memory the AMC Gremlin came out in 1970, and was launched on 1st April, which was rather apt!
