Well done on all counts!   ;D
(hope you'll still have time to visit the Geneva Motor Show...)

pnegyesi

Thanks to everyone.

No, if I will not be forced to go, then I will skip Geneva this year - just like I skipped it last year.

Djetset

Nice work Pal.  Shocked to hear that you won't be going to Geneva; it won't be the same without you!   :'(

So, now that we know this is the Menix 2, do we know what car it was based on?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

pnegyesi

Thanks again

It was based on a NSU Prinz 4, 1962.

Well, we'll see about the show - this year I'd rather be at Goodwood than Geneva :)

The Menix 1 is definetely based on a NSU Prinz, but I'm not sure about the Menix 2.

ImpishGrin

Any side pics? Or any other pics at all of the Menix 2?
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Unfortunately not! I've search almost everywhere, asked other luminaries from German forums, but got nothing.
I've found that particular pic on a German forum. The author of that thread posts scanned snippets from old German car mags.

I even tried to get in contact with Beat Menzi. There's someone with the same name (similar adress) on Facebook, but he refused to reply...Mabye he wasn't related to the builder..

Wendax

There is a website where Beat Menzi-Maurer offers his Menix 1 for sale. There you can find his adress. Just google "Menix Beat Menzi": first hit.

Thanks, but that's online for at least 4-5 years

Finally another pic!
It's not a beautiful car from this view either..

Wendax

I forgot to add that Menix 2 was based on an Alfa Romeo Alfasud.

Not too bad for a self made car.

Happy new year everyone!

ImpishGrin

That's great, thank you Wendax!

I love it about AP that fifteen years will pass and then suddenly a new photo appears of something very obscure and never before seen in full.
