With a little luck I´ll see this unique handmade thing this year in original, as I do have contacted the owner recently - and it still exists.
Data:
- The body was completly handmade in 1952 by a certain craftsman Adolf Striegel who´s used an old chassis of a 1928-1930 P15 DKW Roadster.
- Rear Kardan-driven by a mighty 600ccm DKW engine.
- Overall weight: a mere 640 despite it´s steel body, made of 1mm thick steel sheets.
- Max. speed: 75-80km/h
Remember: then Germany´s just recovered from the grim results of its 1933-45 politics and most people weren´t able to even buy a bigger motorcycle in those days....
