I came across this one while searching through the 1979/80 Autokatalog:

This should be the California-built BOA by the Boa Marketing Corporation of Ventura, Ca.

They seem to have used the 1.8 l Porsche 914 engine while the chassis seems to have come from Triumph.

Do you have a link about theses cars?

i have had my boa for almost 15 years. # 006.  its pretty much restored. painted ferrari red.  had to customize the t-tops cause one of the plexiglass tops was broken on the outer edge, so i had to fix it and covered the t-tops and the top with stayfast cloth.  looks real good.  think it has some design prototypes since it is slightly different than an original pic of the car. it has openings cut in the quarter panels for better side-back vision since there would be a large blind spot there. it also has a rear spoiler. i changed the original 77 914 1.7 motor, and put a 78 2.0 fuel injected motor in. having trouble with the rear coil over shocks sagging. i have a bit of original information about the car including an original dealer brochure!  the car is currently mothballed in storage. hasnt been driven over 10 years.
