I believe it is a Riviera ... whether it is a modified Riv or a "made to look like" Riv or a concept Riv, I'm not sure.

:(

My only other guess at this one would be the Buick Riviera Silver Arrow ... but it doesn't look like the one I've seen in pictures elsewhere. :(

Thanks for locking it for me for a while anyway....!

Could this be a custom "Barrett" Riviera?

In AMT's modelkits there are a lot customparts, and You could build this very car. Originally most of those parts was in the the AMT '63 Riviera kit. AMT got  help from several well custombuilders for theire custompieces in the different kits. The Riviera I think was the work of Barris. AMT rereleased the '65 as a lowrider as well later on. I'm not sure if the model was inspired by a 1/1 car, or if there was built a 1/1 car later, but I guess this is a Barris custom.

It is a Barris Riviera!

This one was built for as a promotional car components manufacturer, not AMT.

It mentioned that at first Barris built it for himself but later for the movieThose who think young
by Essex productions in wich it appeared.

It's lovely anyway.

In my "decent" collection of modelcars, I have a unbuilt annual AMT '63 Riviera, as well as restorable '64 and several '65s.
Those three first years of the Riviera are in my list of most desireable cars. Maybe not in the top 50, but still.

Then this is not the "Villa Riviera"?

There are forsure differences betweene the "Villa Riviera", as it is today, and the quiz car. I read that Barris was given a new car by the filmstudio when they bought the "Villa". Barris then built a new car, that might be the quiz car, but it doesn't tell anything more about the second Riviera. The moviecar it is a lot of stuff about on the other hand. The moviecar was originally candy apple red, but when the filmstudio bought it, the moviedirector got it into the contract too repaint it white. From there it looks too have been light blue, and a darker blue. I'm unsure if I like the movie version, or the original candy apple red, the best, but both are beauties.

Now we just have too find the quiz car.

While watching a DVR's rerun of an old Perry Mason show (episode #188: The Case of the Bigamous Spouse) which had an original air date pf 14 November, 1963. The car's movie debut wasn't until 1964.

In the TV show, Perry's eventual client went poking around the parked car looking for the the eventual murder victim's assumed name. I was racking my brain trying to figure out where I had seen the car, but the early scenes only showed the side and the rear of the car. Later, after the murder, the car was seen from the front. It was in the light color (probably white), like the puzzle picture.
