You guys are on the right track with "first", but it's a much less specific "first."

Yakovlev & Frese, the first automobile built in Russia. It was introduced in 1896.
Others say it is just a modified Benz.

I have it spelled "Yakovlev-Freze," but that's the one!

The replica of this car is reported to be in Autoreview magazine museum in Moscow, but during my visit it was not there.
