That's a start; more than a brand is needed. Please re-read the puzzle question posed.

I believe it's a 1957 AEC Reliance MU3RV with a Duple Britannia C41F body, New to Watson's Tours, Dundee. By 1980 it was in the fleet of McLennan, Spittalfield.

Answer:  what this is       = BUS
and who built it = AEC

Where have I gone wrong?

1) It's a coach, not a bus; subtle difference.
2) It wasn't built by AEC (they only supplied the engine and chassis).

Maybe you'd like to borrow my spraycan Otto?!
This puzzle would have been much harder to solve without that huge AEC badge on the front.
The hard bit was Duple, as they made bodies mainly for Bedford but also of course for the other coach manufacturers, incl Leyland and AEC.
