Well, I'll state the obvious, but there is probably more to the story.........'65 Mustang 2+2 fastback?..........Shelby 350 GT prototype?

No, ;D Not a Mustang 2+2 Fastback or a Shelby 350GT Prototype ...It“s a prototype made for 1965 but not in 1965.

Ok, so were talking semantics here? The same wheels that are on this car were used originally on the Mustang II concept car built in 1963, so is this a Mustang concept built in '63? It obviously has the same lines as the 2+2 that arrived in 64.5.

The year is right! 1963 Prototype,but not a Mustang!!

And the name ended up on a variety of Mercury production cars (the worst one was the station wagon). With Mercury going away, I suppose we could some day see another Ford Cougar.  :huh:
