Business as usual: you get a point if you identify the car

Interesting.

The only thing I'd say is, having found a few photos of this car, that judging by the controls (pedals, handbrake, column stalks, etc.) and engine, I'd guess that it's actually based on an R8 or R10, rather than a 4CV.

This is all I found on this car, too

If someone can proof otherwise, I'd be happy to give them a point as well.  ;)

There's nothing I can prove. It was just an observation that a number of details would fit with a mid-sixties rear-engined Renault, particularly the R10.

Interestingly there are some pictures of this car on FlickR which describe it as an R10 wooden car, rather than Rio, but who knows which is right?  :-\

It has a 750cc engine, which is much smaller than a R8 or R10 engine. Perhaps it is a combination of both: 4CV chassis and engine and other bits off a R8 or R10

Quite possibly. Yes, I saw the mention on one web page of a 750-cc engine and three-speed gearbox, which would fit with a 4CV. Like I said, it's just speculation on my part based on details. No reason not to record this as solved by Barrett, I think. :)

Though I still think this looks more like an R10 engine than a 4CV. ;)
