First question.  Is it French?

Yes, it is French. I have another name for it, which is clearly visibly on the back of this car. That's all I know about this one.

So perhaps it is by ECF, but I don't know.

I have it as ECA (Esthétique de la Carrosserie Automobile) form 1970. Volkswagen 1600cc 80 CV, 4,30m x 1,70m x  1m, weight 500 kg...it was in a group puzzles of mine.

Now I've also found is as an ECA. To finish this off, what is written on the back?

Ah!, I was too slow here, as I also have this as the ECA Ah!, based on a VW Beetle platform, with the car being a modified GP Centron, the Britsh kit car of the very early 1970s.  Here's a couple more photos, taken at Monthlery.

My name (ECF) surely is wrong, where I found it was posted the same photograps that show Djset in Linas-Monthlery 2008 and with the same information as Pjaray: base VW and year 1970 but the name  ECF was wrotten with ?? so the author was not sure of the name of the prototype, he was wrong and I have not been able to find the rigth one ECA.
