Two cars - one point. Tell me what both of these are for the point!
-
Find one, and you'll find the other one, experts
-
I believe these are - on the left a Duncan bodied Healey and on the right a Duncan bodied Alvis
-
(oops I got over excited there!)
Not quite right MJW - The Alvis is correct, but the other car is not a Healey (although it looks like it)
Locked for you
-
Daimler 2.5 litre?
-
Not a Daimler
still locked for you
-
Bentley?
-
Not that either
-
Perhaps another Alvis!
Anyway if it's not that I'll have to do some digging and please unlock it for others
-
Not an Alvis no!
Okay, this is now unlocked for the other Experts
-
Is it a Hillman Minx body that Ian Duncan dropped on a Healey chassis with a Healey style grille?
-
That's the one!
Although woodinsight guessed Healey this car is known as the Duncan-Hillman or Duncan-Minx
One point each for Aaron65 and MJW
-
I have to say that I've never heard of the Duncan-Hillman Minx.
Autopuzzles surprises every day!
Thanks for the point - it was unexpected
-
The small bit of information I have
"Three A-type chassis were ordered from the DHMC and the first one fitted with a Hillman Minx body suitably modified to take the Healey kite shape grille. While that was strange enough the next two were even more so with first a Ford Anglia followed by a Prefect body being fitted. The next body was completely new and fitted to a Alvis TA14 chassis"
-
It would be fun to do Duncan doughnuts it one or both of those.

Here´s a nice contemporary photo:
