Art and cars #35 - Frank O. King and Gasoline Alley
« on: September 18, 2009, 10:01:24 AM »

Who is this old gentleman, and how is he associated with the automobile?

It's been sometimes since the last Art and Cars puzzle, right? Although there are still a few hard nuts to crack around.

Art and cars. Painters, writers, musicians, actors, movie makers: in a nutshell, artists. Cars of special importance in their work, or in their life.
Rule is: you identify the artist, you have one week to find the car. After that, the hunt is opened and anyone can rob you of your point.
Thanks!

No sir. But this one may be tough enough, so I'll save you a few steps. British no, English-speaking, yes.

Not Rube Goldberg, but you're in the right area.

Not at all.
When I said he was in the same area that Rube Goldberg, it meant that his work appeared on paper, not film.

Sorry Allemano, how could I have missed this one?

He sure did! And I'll add a clue. It was a character that grew up and got older, which is not so common in comics.

Impressive!
Gasoline Alley is what I meant.
Skeezix, a baby who was found abandoned on his porch by the main character of the strip, grew up into adulthood as the years passed by.
