You are correct - the car is the 1928 Worldmobile 8 sedan, built by the Service-Relay Motors Corporation of Lima, Ohio.

According to the Standard Catalog of American Cars: 1805-1942: "A single car is known to have been put together, literally, its louverless hood appearing to have been formed with a sledgehammer".
