Which leaves us with just one pairing. Would no5 be just an ordinary police car or do we have to focus on its brand and year as well?

It's a just a police car.

Since Ray handed those last two to you  ;), he's got a 24 exclusive on the remaining (Canadian) artist/song combo.

Actually I sent a PM to Ray B earlier this morning, offering him the chance to pair Gordon with Carefree Highway, but he was generous enough to hand it back to me. But I wish Ray best of luck here with the last one

Those nice words are a real comfort to a man who just shot himself in the foot twice!
Generosity may have had something to do with it, pnegyesi. Possibly. Shortsightedness surely did.

The last artist(#8) is Richard Dean Taylor (how did i find this one I still don't know...), and the song, I guess is #5: Indiana wants me where some lines go:
It's so cold and lonely here, without you.
Out here the law is acomin'
I'm gettin' so tired and runnin'...
... Red lights are flashin' around me,
It looks like they found me.

Damn, it looks just like the words written by Nate Campion at the KC Ranch, just before the regulators send down a wagon, loaded with hay, to set his cabin a blaze, and riddle him with bullets!

That's it!

A real car story, associated with that song: My wife's dad, while driving his car one day, heard Indiana Wants Me playing on the radio, and was compelled to quickly pull his car to the side of the road when he heard the sirens. He bent the rim of the front tire when he hit the curb, and got a flat. Needless to say, that was never going to be his favorite song after that.

The ID's are listed on the front page; stand by for the points!

Glad it was well-received (and not too easy)

Time for a encore, perhaps.  8)
