Oh this brings back the memories, as I was part of the EV-2 development team for the second generation Saab 900. Strictly speaking, the EV-2 name was never used internally by Saab, but the press called the prototype 900 this, and it sort of stuck.
The real, correct name for this car should be the Saab Project 104. The 104 photo was taken out in the old Saab design studio private viewing area in Trollhattan, this studio being one of the very first Saab aircraft buildings from the late 1930s. This studio still exists, but now only looks after colours and interior trim. the main Saab design centre is now based just outside Gothenburg, although who knows, this might be moved down to the Netherlands soon as the new Spyker Saabs are created!
