The passenger looks like Thomas Mann. Are we in a German speaking country ?

This "car" in the old photography ran in Vienna, but it was built in Germany.

I´m not too sure about the Thomas Mann story, but maybe you´re right.  :o
If so I´d award you a point for this fact, but I´d need some proof, of course  ;)

I don't think Thomas Mann was the man to take a seat in such a vehicle  ;D
It was just a 'bridge' to ask about a geographical positioning...

That´s the one!

Monos threewheeled vehicles mostly were open motorcycle-like light transporters.

This one is a rare (partly) closed version from the roaring 1920´s.

Built in Berlin and forgotten during the decades...

And it´s got one of the coolest logos ever, I think!

Well, that might be the reason why no Monos of that kind has survived to my knowledge. Even the contemporary advertising shows some scary scenes :D

And there´s another pic of your Vienna fire car:

Well, those are two different companies involved here, although they are related. In 1924, the Monos Fahrzeug AG from Vienna started building threewheelers. One of those is shown in Pal's post. In 1928, Monos closed down and was taken over by Krauseco. At the same time, the Monos Fahrzeugfabrik GmbH was founded in Berlin and offered an improved threewheeler. The puzzle car is one of them. The Berlin company went bankrupt in 1929 already.

As most of the other pictures seem to be lost, here's a nice Monos from Vienna:
