Giving Ray's guess (and my reply) it will be quite easy now to find her.
Locked for Ray till his next (quick) reply.
The car is open for everyone.

Thanks for the kind words, but guessing Mary Pickford about a picture of an 1910's actress is like guessing Marylin Monroe about a 1950's picture.
We must not have the same website, because I can't find her. Make it a free for all.

Her name is Mildred Reardon, and i  didn't find her where you suggested (since I never found the site).
Now to that "slightly impossible" car!

That's her!
There is a page at Wikipedia with all these actress.
About the car, I don't know if there is a reference to it on the web, since it's not a major brand (or a minor one)...

Is that special car connected to a film of hers, or part of her private life?

I don't know...I was reading the story of a small make and there was written that a special version of one of its models was made for her.

Could this car be a Drake?

Yes:
"... producing a modest number of standard cars and one spectacularly special version of its six for silent film actress Mildred Reardon"

How on earth..... :faint:
I can't believe you already found it!
I'm still working on my "list" and I was reading the Standard Catalog of American Cars, while I reached the Drake...and there's written what You wrote.
I look for it on the net and found no sources.... I was sure this was going to last for a while!
I've no words.
