Frazer Nash Continental 1957
« on: April 27, 2009, 11:29:35 PM »
this is my first point so gently, bentley - what was this car named ? ( and if you have a better shot i need one )
its easy when you know, and someone must ... strange not to find it here already, given its interesting make-up ...
now that we're in expert territory i expect to go quick so can i have at least one better photo for my collection, please? maybe a nice period studio, exterior or motorshow, anything appreciated though...

This is the Frazer Nash Continental Gran Turismo coupe, made between 1957-58 using a BMW V8 engine, with a total production of two examples, one of which was displayed at the 1958 Earls Court Motor Show in London.
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

thanks for that d-type had seen those but been unable to open them
i'm still curious about the low-profile of this one still no period photos - and yet the AFN archive has been the source of some nice ones online - of the MM for instance
and note - there is still a point here - for another name - a major manufacturer ...

AFN were Porsche agents at that time. Does anyone else think that rear window and boot lid look like adapted 356 items?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

In fact they used a complete Porsche 356 roof!
I believe this is the only one they made.

Whoops! I think I knew that - funny how things slip the mind.
