Is this a Pininfarina-design?

Yes.

And it is not among the showcars on the Pinfarina site, or am I just too blind to see it

It's the original (1960) version of the Pininfarina Chevrolet Corvair Coupe, before it went through several metamorphoses to become the final version in 1963 with a different front end, different windscreen and 2 extra seats.

I believe it was designed by Tom Tjaarda during his stint at Pininfarina.

No, it's as I said in my post.  This was the original one from 1960 then they tinkered with it endlessly as fashion was changing rapidly around that time, showing revised versions during 1962 and 1963.  They changed the front, then gave it a new windscreen without the ('fifties) dogleg, then lengthened it to include 2 rear seats.  Only the rear was unchanged.  But it's the same car all the time that they rebuilt.  Don't think you can find any reference to this original 1960 version anywhere on the internet; you need the books!

This car underwent some changes after it was first shown, mainly trim earlier but more substantial changes as time went on.
I believe these two puzzles are from pretty much the same era though so show the car in its earlier guise, hence I've merged them,
