I always liked the way Pietro Frua reused his design memes. If it didn't work for one manufacturer, try it on another! Of course, it helps if you have incredible design sense to begin with. I hesitate to think how this kind of design sharing would fare if some other folks attempted it. Nor could I envision it in a modern idiom. But for Pietro, it seemed to work quite well.
Of course, the real kicker is that I just went and looked and that car was designed by Michelotti at Ghia-Aigle, not Frua. So this post really has nothing to do about anything and the only reason I posted it anyway is because I hate erasing stuff I write because at some point, given luck, it may be pertinent or even correct.
