I cannot guarantee that this car is functional, but it sure is fun. Ever seen this ?

If you did, please respond below and tell us who it was built for.
If you haven't registered yet, you need to do so in order to reply with your answer.
Also, please be sure to check out our other puzzles, and, please post a puzzle of your own if you'd like - the more, the merrier.

Thanks!

That's the Voxmobile, by George Barris if I'm not mistaken.

Not only does it drive, it's a mobile amplifier which supports 30 something guitars and has a built in organ.

Rock and Roll!

As you say!
You tought me something: I hadn't found what the car was, and you're right, I read the story. So the point is yours. It was commissioned by Vox, and not, as I believed, by the musician shown here (it's a record cover).
Why, by the way, does he hold a helmet in his hand? This is not very rock and roll... Do you know who he is?

Point given to K5ING, and puzzle moved upward. One more point for this question:
Who is the guy photographed here with the Voxmobile?

Since I can't remember the 60s, it means I must have been there, right?

What innocent times.  What beautiful concepts: love, peace rock & roll.

What happened?  How did I become a cynical old man?

But I still love the music, although I use a Behringer amp for my bass.
