I know what it was. And I know that the owner must have some size issues.
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

What it was will probably be good enough in this case, so come on!

I'm guessing it's a  NIssan EXA? (or a Pulsar NX, as I think that was it's name in the US)

Well, yes, it's the EXA, but the type pictured had an additional name - which one?

The point is yours, anyway - but feel free to specify.

Moving this one upwards, and offering another point to the one who can complete the model designation.

This estate version was, according to the German auto katalog, sold in Japan under the name Nissan EXA Canopy. And as Quiller just said 'Canopy', he escapes with the point!

But there wasn't such a thing as an "estate version" of the EXA? The whole point of this car was its modularity - you could transform the end between coupe, open top and this "estate" version. It was one of the modular cars' trend, which appeared in late 80s/early 90s but didn't catch on.

"Canopy" was apparently Nissan's name of this element of bodywork that you put on to transform the car into an estate (shooting break?).

Shooting brake (not break, mind you) would be the correct term, I guess, since it has only two doors.

But you're probably right about that modular thing. Still, the version in the picture is, at least when the picture was taken, an EXA Canopy :)

Yes, I'm not trying to argue. After all I got my point for the EXA :D Just nitpicking.

And it should be shooting BREAK. The name comes from a kind of carriage (BREAK) used to transport equipment, food etc. for shooting parties. Although outside of UK this carriage was usually called BRAKE, so both names are considered to be ok.

Apparently a mistake (they even spell it with a hyphen, omg), wikipedia is not always reliable unfortunately. Will fix it later in the day :D

And I'm sure there has always been another article, titled "shooting break". Looked much different from this one, more detailed.
