Is this by any chance a 1940 Graham Hollywood, based on the Cord 810/812 series?

No, it is not. But the guess is not so far from the truth.

1940 Hupmobile Skylark (called 1941s), also based on the Cord?

As far as I know, 915-R or R-915 was an alternative name for Skylark production model. That's not what I'm looking for

After a little hunting I found another name for a Cord-looking Hupmobile: Junior Six. Is that it?
Is this considered a 1939, 1940, or what?

That's it! Hupmobile Junior Six - a prototype for Skylark. As for the exact year, I honestly don't know
Congratulations on your first point!

Thank you! Don't expect it to happen too often! I'm sure I only got this one 'cause it was too easy for everyone else to bother with!
