It is the Debe 250, an italian project of 1948 / 1949, by the former maker of FOD cars ; I think it has never been realized.

You are good!
This is the DeBe, a project by De Benedetti to be realized around '53, never materialized, because he died in a car accident in 1954.
This one was an hard one, and I don't know if there are any pics on the net!

DeBe, from DeBenedetti. FOD was long gone when this one was developed.
FOD stands for "Fonderie Officine De Benedetti" and that's why some sources (like the Beaulieu) reports the Debe under the Fod name.

But it was built by the same De Benedetti, right?

Yes, it was. You can file it under the FOD name, but only because of that...this car was a new prototype by Mr De Benedetti and I strongly doubt that it was going to have the FOD badge.
