Just in case you are wondering about, and I know you are, this car was made by Cooke Brothers in Christchurch and advertised in some sales brochures as 'Taipan Body Conversion Kit for VW'. Few were made by Cooke Bros and then production passed to Daytona Fibreglass in Porirua, who made 16 additional examples. Moulds later arrived in Wanganui.
