It seems you found it!
Usually I find some mistakes in Burgess Wise Encyclopedia, but the logo seems to report that, also the book were I found the puzzle pics reports exactly 1936 as the year for this car, there is indeed a two-stroke engine there and the 'monoposto' written on the other period article suggests that this is the Monocar!

In good French it should be "La Plus Petite Voiture"

You are right, I check the book (that is French) and it's written as I wrote, but I read the english version of it (it's written in 2 languages) and in the French one is La Plus Petite. I'll fix it.

I missed something... Who has solved this puzzle? Me? If so, that was just a lucky guess, but thanks for a couple of points, PJ :)

An ad from 1936, so it should be the same car although the drawing shows a different "radiator".
