Uni-Car was made by a co-operation (Hochschul-ArbeitsGemeinschaft (HAG)) of German Technical Schools (Aachen, Berlin, Stuttgart and Darmstadt).
The car was presented on the IAA (Internationalen Automobilausstellung) 1981 in Frankfurt as a competitor in a contest 'Forschungs-PKW 2000' from the German Federal  Bureau of Research and Technic. Other competitors where Audi, Daimler-Benz, BMW, Porsche and Volkswagen.

4 Uni-Cars where built. Was the car called Uni-Car HAG or Uni-Car HAG 300? That's the name I found.

Thanks for the detailed reply. I have this down as the Uni-Car Auto 2000 (one of a number of 'futurist' cars at the 1981 Frankfurt Motor Show)
