I'm pretty sure this is the Arfons brothers' V12 Allison-engined 'Green Monster' from around 1955-6.

It is an Arfons Green Monster with an Allison V12, yes.
Locked for you to dig into and see if you can say which Green Monster (there were several) and the correct year (not 1955 or 1956).

It's the Green Monster 2, which apparently got to 132.35 mph at the 1954 World Series of Drag Racing.

Green Monster 1 was a much tamer beast: It had a 1940 side-valve 6 cylinder Oldsmobile engine, which dragged the car to a less than spectacular 86mph. Little wonder V12 replaved straight 6..... ;) :D
