Who is he, and what car can he be associated with?

Art and cars. Painters, writers, musicians, actors, movie makers: in a nutshell, artists. Cars of special importance in their work, or in their life.
This one is 1 point puzzle.
Rule of this puzzle is: you identify the artist, you have one week to find the car. After that, the hunt is opened and anyone can rob you of your point.

Albert Camus ?  He died at 43 at the wheel of a Facel-Véga...

That sure is Albert Camus, and he died in a car crash in a Facel-Véga driven not by him, but by his publisher Michel Gallimard. But I wasn't asking who drove the car.
