I believe its the De Dion Bouton... similar to one they had on Top Gear a couple of years ago.

OK.... how about a 1903 Achilles Sports 2 Seater

Correct: an Achilles Sports 2 Seater, made by B Thompson & Company Ltd of Frome, Somerset, England from 1903-1908.  They were actually French Lacoste & Battmann cars fitted with either Aster or De Dion engines but sold under the name of Achilles.

Advertised as "Made in the Engineering Centre of the West which cast the monument of Boadicea for the Thames embankment and Alfred the Great for Winchester" and "vulnerable only in the tyre".
