Finally!!!! I have spent the better part of Sunday looking for this puzzle, but did not find it.

When I first checked the puzzles on Saturday, I had no idea what is this car, but then I found the solution but not the question.

Anyhow, this is the Nikkei Taro from Nippon Keijidosha, made around 1953-1954.

Ah, we all know that problem of not finding back a puzzle  ;D

But at the end you did find it back, and you did find the right answer.  I have it as N.J. (which stands for Nippon Keijidosha) Nikkei Taro from 1954 (though they started the project in 1952). It had arear-mounted air-cooled 4-stroke 2-cylinder engine of 12 bhp. Until 1956 some of these neat cars were sold, but then it was over.
