It's Brazilian and I believe based on a VW Gol GTS. Do you have any more info, jotage21?

The name ALDEE comes from Almir Donato Equipamentos Esportivos - a company that in the 80s built visual tuning accessories in Brazil. In 1988 they decided to built a modern-looking coupe with fibreglass body. The engine was a 1.8-litre 99 hp unit from VW Gol GTS, which was good for 170 kph and 0-100 in around 11 s. The specification was quite luxurious with air conditioning, electric windows and sunroof, power steering and radio with cassette player. The interior was very well finished and comfortable. The all-digital instruments and retractable headlights also played big part in the modern looks of the car.
Unfortunately, in 1991 it cost around 30,000 dollars, making it much too expensive in comparison with imported rivals. I've read that two version were built - one based on Gol, the other on Fiat Tempra. There was also a racing version made in 1989.
Aldee has also fielded a Spyder model (unrelated to the GT) in Mil Milhas de Interlagos and in Brazilian Prototypes Championship in the recent years.

Hope that was useful :)
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Looks like a Maserati Biturbo would have looked if it had been styled by Buick.
