What if I told you it was based on a Ferrari...?

(I'd be lying though)

Well, my first idea was some british Bill Towns style Mini, but the more I look at it I think it could also be japanese...

You're right about it being British but it's not a William Towns design

It bears an unfortunate resemblance to a 1980's Pontiac.

Rethink, a Richard Oakes design.

It's neither a Richard Oakes nor a Stevens design. However, your hunch about the august and much lamented Alternative Cars magazine is spot on. Time to dust off those old binders...

It's been 3 months since the last posting so here's a clue:

Although it's British, the Scandinavian country that ordered the design was Danish...

If you know this one point will be added to your account.
(I don't know if this car was posted before. I've saved it under a name that wasn't to find in the archives of Autopuzzles)

Coincidentely I've posted it recently unaware that it was shown before.

It's a Sekura from 1983 built on a Austin Mini chassis. According to my source the model hasn't a special name. Some specifications: 1380cc, 70HP, Vmax 160-170km/h

Sekura was indeed the Danish company that commissioned this car - but for the point I need to know the company that designed it

As far as I know Sekura wasn't the commissioner, but the engineering company. They searched themselves for companies in GB to product this car for the high taxes in Danmark.

My understanding is that Sekura asked a British company to design the car. Do you know what the British company was?

Is it an internet source you rely on? Otherwise I have to do some "extra" research....
