Yes!
Enoch (Nickie) Johnson of Red Wing, Minnesota, began designing this Nickie Special back in 1913; when it was finally built it was a conglomeration of car parts of 1915-1960. Only He could drive it. He has never used the full 250hp of the V-8 engine under the Special's hood.

This is all I have about it, can I ask you where you find the Octo-Rod name and if it is reliable? My source is just a magazine's article scan with 2 little pictures found on the web.
This was very obscure and it worths 2 points!

I have this picture of the car, from museum in South Dakota, with a sign affixed calling it the Octo-Rod. In contrast to the sign on the car, the museum's web site calls it the "1961Octakar Eight-Wheeled Car"
