The "whole story" is that I knew it was a re-post, but kept it because it was a whole different view.  Paul Jaray too, who wrote it in a post that he later changed to that "nice" when I explained it to him.

The whole story is in two parts, the second of which is that it was a re-post!
For us Lea-Francis Owners, the first part is that we were greatly looking forward to the reintroduction of a Lea-Francis car after nearly twenty years without one.
However our hopes of something worthwhile were dashed when we saw this beast at the Motor Show - not only was the body styling unattractive (and worse, it was painted in lilac) but the engine was a Ford Zephyr, the front suspension was a scarcely altered revision of the design of 25 years before and it was priced at around the same as an E-type jaguar.
Oh, and the car at the motor shows (in Ray's photo, possibly at Amsterdam) was not LHD, so the photo must have been reversed - not that that makes it look better!
YN200 was once the property of York Nobel, whose Nobel three-wheeled microcar was to have been made by Lea-Francis

And here's the purple one as we had it at the NEC in 2012 (and as seen by a number of Autopuzzlers who were there!):

 ;D

Do you know if this purple is a historically founded color, or better - was the an original Lynx in purple?

I have a feeling it was always an awful colour, but not the one it is now.
I seem to recall it was originally pink, but much lighter than its current colour.
On the other hand, I believe 2 or three of these things were built, so they were probably all different colours.
Allan will know!

Yes that colour is supposed to be original - it is now 53 years since it was at Earl's Court and perhaps one would call it lilac if one were selling, rather than purple. The gold brightwork is also what it had.
As for how many were made the official number is 5 of which two were "chassis only" - all three of the complete cars are owned by the same father and son pair. I remember seeing about three bodies in a pile in a corner of a Lea-Francis workshop when I went there in 1962 and I think one was red then. I can't remember if YN200 was always that bronze colour but I think it may have been.
