The car is the Mota.  The name of the power plant was the 'patented Polade Power plant' and it was planned to be made by the Banning Electrical Products Corporation in Michigan, USA.  Phew, that's a lot of information for a solitary point!  :D
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

No one realized it, but this is actually a repost. One of my still unsolved puzzles shows the sole Mota prototype. What should we do now?

I'll start with moving this one to the solved section and awarding Djetset a point.

Is this the Mota prototype you are referring to in my ADG 13?

Yes, but I would like to hear the opinion of some site admins on how to deal with this one

Why not award the point to the person who can clearly explain how the patented 'Polade Power Plant' worked.  :lmao:

pnegyesi : if you had stayed calm, noone had noticed. ;)
75america's sketch doesn't reveal the relation to 'your' prototype in anyway.
I think it's not really worth a point as you almost gave the answer on yourself.

Since it's a repost (and you already revealed the answer of this one) we can only merge it.
It's the only pic I ever saw of the Mota, and I thought there were no running prototypes...

Okay, I will stay calm next time. Sorry if I ruined the party.

The scan is from an article in Bulb Horn magazine. I found only one online source where it is mentioned: at factoidz.com

You've probably seen the (modestly speculative) 'family' version:
