Yep, John R. "Dick" Samsen did this rendering, as an early idea for a 2-seater car that would be the '55 Thunderbird. Samsen later went to work for Virgil Exner at Chrysler, and his name was largely expunged from Ford's 'official' history of the car.

Or, so says Samsen.
