Not sure what you're looking for but I suspect it's somewhere in the paragraph I dug up:

"'This one off prototype was commissioned by Ford Motor Company and financed by Henry Ford II. Willys Wagner, stylist for the International Division of Ford Motor Company and the legendary Indy racecar designer Frank Kurtis awarded the project to automotive designer Vince Gardner."

A really beautiful car. I thought of posting it myself long ago. I didn't because I guessed that it was too well-known and would be identified in the hour. Or even that was a former puzzle (I didn't check).

I had this one all ready to go -- a front-view pic where I had carefully digitally removed the word "Vega" from the car. But this would have been a(nother) case where the person correctly guessing would have shown how much more they knew about the car than I did.
