Is it a japanese ´36 Buick/Plymouth/Chevy clone on older mechanical components??
The front end looks 5-10 years younger than the rest.
The trunk is quite distinctive, but I don´know which car it may have belonged to.

True. This stunned me when I first saw the car. There is nothing japanese about it. But you may get somewhere if you identify what the front end looks like.
