I'm willing to give you that point, because we're obviously talking about the same car here. But in my books this is referred to as the 202 Alemano Berlinetta, from 1951, and not the 202b Abarth of 1952 - which seems to be the case on several web sites as well (for example this one). Can you explain that?

I would be glad...I've got an encyclopedia of Abarth cars and one of Cisitalia's, but there are no pics of this car...if you see the steering wheel, there is the Abarth logo and that is common in Cisitalia's car because they used the 1100cc Fiat engine and Abarth was the best tuner for that...Ing. Savonuzzi is the man behind the body together with Scaglione, if you compare this car with the Fiat 8v supersonic coupe by ghia (http://autosdiabolicos.blogspot.com/2007/04/fiat-8v-ghia-supersonic-coupe.html) you will see what I mean... Serafino Allemano (with 2 "L" but often mispelled) worked as well on fiat 1100 chassis, but I'm not familiar with a Cisitalia designed by him (that doesn't mean that there is not...) but I must admit that this car is similar to Allemano's Fiat 1100 TV coupe..to make thing worse, that time coachbuilders often works for others...Touring and Vignale, or Michelotti and others (http://www.michelotti.com/elenco%20vetture.htm)..., ,and Savonuzzi designed some cars realized by Allemano (Aston Martin DB2\4 Berlinetta http://www.blackhawkcollection.com/index.cfm?key=982&action=details&tab=inventory ) so I think that this car is a Cisitalia (there is the logo on the hood) model 202 B (the model introduced in 1950) with Abarth-tuned engine (the steering wheel...) designed according to Savonuzzi aerodynamic study and developed by....I'll guess Scaglione because I can't see Allemano logo on the car, but as I told you I can't be sure of who worked with who, and Allemano worked by Abarth! ...and then I found this and here comes again Allemano with this Cisitalia but designed by Scaglietti!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carrozzeria_Allemano

Uh... did you even look at the web page I linked to? There's a pretty good explanation there as to which car this is. Are you saying that's all wrong?

I saw the pages, and when it goes..."Designed by Franco Scaglione, and executed by Carrozeria Alemano" it's moreless what I wrote later, that is a Cisitalia 202 B with Scaglione bodywork...wikipedia says Scaglietti but I think it's Scaglione...and I found nowere that is not an Allemano design....I'm not sure because usually Allemano uses his logo on his design but I'm also aware that in the  2003 Monterey Sports Car Auction they gave the car the right name...I'm sure about Abarth engine also because I found a pic on an Abarth site that reports Cisitalia-Abarth 202 B from 1952.
In the end I wrote Cisitalia 202 b Abarth from 1952 and as you say it's not complete..it is a Cisitalia 202 B Abarth Allemano Berlinetta from 1951!
As soon as I'm back online I'll check better my answer...by now I know I'm a bit brief in my answers...

I found the list of the cars in the 2003 Monterey auction and the item #415 is a Cisitalia 202 B berlinetta competizione from 1951

It's not an answer but we are getting closer....

Hi

The number 202 allso suggest Cisitalia, probably with an engine tuned by Abarth.
The car is allso to fancy to be an Abarth.
No bumper suggest Competizione but it is very close to a GT
