Here is a picture of the car yesterday. It has been in our family ownership for around 12 years now. It was originally built by Umberto De Mola in Belgium in 1939-40 on a 6C1750 chassis. It was hidden during the war years and reappeared in the Brussels parade for King Leopold returning to Belgium in 1945. Post war the car's chassis was changed to a 6C 2500 (not an SS as often stated), with a 1946-7 chassis plate but probably 1940 recycled stock. It went to the USA where it was fitted with a V8 engine. In the 1960's it was reunited with a 2500 engine and for 10 years sat in the UK National Motor Museum in Beaulieu.
